Duration of construction works: Approx. 4 months Construction cost- 38K (2008) This 40 sq.m ground floor extension has created much-needed space for the family with 2 extra bedrooms and enlargement of the existing kitchen and bathroom. The new accomodation was added to the front and side of the property and the spaces are flexible enough to be used as reception and study rooms once the kids have left home. In all the new rooms the ceilings follow the roof-line of the extension, giving the rooms real character and proving useful where bunk beds are being used. Also, in the kitchen and bathroom extensions the rooms are lit from rooflights in the pitched ceilings above, enhancing the feelings of light and space.
