Extension to private Residence

This semi-detached property has a large double garage to the rear which is used by the occupants as storage. It presented the perfect opportunity to enable our clients to extend their property to the rear to create a bright and spacious kitchen, dining and living space, accessed directly onto the rear garden and patio to the side. The design is contemporary with bi-folding doors to both facades of the extension.

Part of the brief was to create a feeling of presence at the entrance of the property, since it has a prominent corner position and so an open-sided porch has been formed adjacent to a new garage. The porch allows direct access to the rear of the property through a gate whilst creating a sheltered area for pausing with prams and children before leaving or upon arrival at the house.
